New Kitchen?
Ok ok, It’s been awhile since I have posted, but life gets crazy and I forget or I just feel like I can’t give this blog my best self, but I am back because shit is about to go down at the BAM house! A few months ago we scheduled a free in home consultation with a company called Reborn Cabinets (a family run business located in Anaheim). We were told if our cabinets were in good enough shape we could reface them. Turns out our cabinets are in pretty great shape so this is happening in a couple weeks. All in all they promise to be done in 2 weeks and then we have a brand new(ish) kitchen! We are hoping that having beautiful quartz countertops, soft close drawers and doors, and new faces of the existing cabinets is enough to get the most money back at resale. For a townhouse in an “up and coming” neighborhood, I think it is more than enough. More importantly I get to live in this beautiful new kitchen for another few years before we get our acts together and buy in a better neighborhood, with a backyard, and MAYBE closer to the parents. We’ll see.
I don’t want to give much away, but we are splurging for new quartz countertops and I am definitely doing a two-toned color cabinet palette. The tops will be lighter than the bottoms. And new tile!!! I cannot wait to show you guys the final project with full before and afters. Here is some inspiration I have been obsessing for now:
I am sure you can see the trend, grey cabinets and a light backsplash…It will be done by the end of November, just in time for the holidays! I can’t wait to share.
